Overview In the batch former the sugar mass is formed into a sugar cone by four conical rolling tapers. The trough with the rolling tapers can be raised and lowered infinitely variably.

Facts
The draw-off rollers of the rope former remove the sugar cone from the batch former and uniformly feed a predetermined quantity to the downstream sizing rollers. This guarantees that the automatic forming machine or the cutting and wrapping machine is fed with a precisely determined amount. Rope formers are used with different sizing roller layout depending upon the type of sugar mass (hard boiled sugar, milk toffee or chewy sweet).
