Facts
The sugar rope batch coming from a batch former or extruder is pulled through the triple roller head and fed through the downstream 5 sizing roller pairs. The batch deviation is measured between the 4th and 5th sizing roller pair (regulating section). The forming machine speed is regulated by the width of the deviation.
The distance between the rollers in 5th sizing roller pair is adjustable. This is how the sweet weight is set. The filled or unfilled sweet rope batch moves through the infeed channel into the die-head. It is fed there through the outer raceway of the pre-forming and forming sections. The sweets are continuously sheared off from the rope between the outer and inner raceways continuously in a pillow fashion. The forming dies, that are moved by pressure curves and swash-plates, push the pre-formed sugar-pieces into the die plate ring. It is formed there between the die plate ring and forming die (long forming section). The height of the forming band is determined by the volume of the sweet mass. The sweets are distributed considerately and uniformly onto the cooling line conveyor belt by a discharge belt, which moves in a swivel action.
